Great site! I was on your beautiful Island the first part of October. My grandfather was born in D'Escousse in 1887. His name was Mark Britten. I only had an afternoon to find the old Britten family home! It was really interesting to see the old house still there although I was told it is going to be torn down, I hope to return this summer for a longer stay.

Just arrived back from visiting Arthur, Isabelle and Valerie Boudreau in Arichat. Have never seen such beautiful sights, and such friendly people. We're coming back next year for 2 weeks this time.

I visited Arichat, and toured around Isle Madame last week. On my trip to Cape Breton, which took me all over the island, Isle Madame was the most beautiful and peaceful place of all. I hope to return soon.

Hey there...I get a kick out of Arichat's very own website...we've come so far!! Pictures are great, and flipping thru the guestbook is a flash from the past. I got married last year and my husband (builder, hunter, fish slayer!!) and I have moved to the Yukon! This other corner of Canada is beautiful, too. Cheers!
