St. Anne Community and Nursing
Care Centre is a unique combination of Acute Emergency services
and Long Term Care
:: INTRODUCTION
::
The
Centre's long term care is comprised of twenty four Community
Services beds in two wings ( south and west) of the Centre and
five Veterans Affairs
Canada beds on a separate wing on the north
side of the Centre. St.Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre
Emergency Out-Patient Department is located on the East side of
the Centre.
St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre is located in Arichat
across from Notre Dame de l’Assomption church on highway #206
Civic number 2313. St. Anne Centre overlooks beautiful Arichat
harbour and is located close to shops, restaurants and hotels in
the village, Le Noir Forge Museum and a marina.
St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre is a non profit
society owned by the citizens of Isle Madame and Louisdale.
The Board of Directors maintains overall responsibility for the
physical operations of the Centre. The Board of  Directors appoints
an Administrator/Nurse Manager who acts as the Board’s direct
representative in the management of the Centre. The
Administrator/Nurse Manager is given the necessary authority and
is repsonible for the administration of St. Anne Community and
Nursing Care Centre in all of its departments, subject to the
policies enacted by the society, the Board of Directors or any of
its committees to which authority to enact policies has been
delegated.
The Business Office of St. Anne Community and Nursing Care
Centre consists of a Finance Officer and Administration Assistant.
MISSION
The St Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre is committed to promoting excellence in health care and service to the residents of our long term care facility, veterans of the VAC wing and clients of our Emergency Outpatient Department. It is committed to serving people from Isle Madame / Louisdale as well as surrounding communities.
The St Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre is further committed to providing a Home away from home atmosphere for all residents through family and community involvement so as to provide for individual needs. The commitment is to enable residents to maintain an optimal state of well-being and independence, while at the same time, having all needs met in a dignified, caring and loving atmosphere.
The St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre is committed to providing 24 hour emergency physician and nursing services as well as various outreach clinics and a diabetes education Centre.
The St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre is committed to providing services and meeting the challenges of changing health care needs with the latest available medical technology, always in a most caring manner, and through on-going collaboration with various other health service providers.

Mission:
Le centre communautaire et de soins infirmiers Sainte-Anne est voué à la promotion de l’excellence dans les services et soins de santé à ses résidents de soins de longue durée, aux anciens combattants du Canada ainsi qu’à ses nombreux clients du service des urgences et de la clinique externe. Le centre s’engage également à desservir la population de la région de l’Île Madame / Louisdale ainsi que les communautés environnantes.
Le centre communautaire et de soins infirmiers Sainte-Anne implique les familles et la communauté pour promouvoir une atmosphère de vie « comme à la maison » et pour répondre aux besoins particuliers de ses résidents. Cet engagement vise à permettre aux résidents de maintenir un état optimal de bien-être et d’indépendance tout en répondant dignement, d’une manière attentionnée et chaleureuse à tous leurs besoins.
Le centre communautaire et de soins infirmiers Sainte-Anne s’engage à fournir, 24 heures sur 24, des services de médecine et de soins infirmiers d’urgence ainsi que divers services de soins communautaires et les services d’un centre de prévention du diabète.
Le centre communautaire et de soins infirmiers Sainte-Anne s’engage, à l’aide de technologies médicales de pointe et de divers programmes de sensibilisation, à fournir des services et à répondre aux besoins changeants des soins de santé et ce, d’une manière toujours attentionnée et en étroite collaboration avec les différents fournisseurs de soins de santé.

Promouvoir le respect et une communication continue entre les résidents, le personnel, la clientèle, les gestionnaires et les familles.
Promouvoir, dans la planification du milieu physique du Centre communautaire et de soins infirmiers Sainte-Anne, des installations et un environnement qui favorisent l’excellence des soins de santé
Encourager et promouvoir l’utilisation d’équipements et des soins médicaux les plus récents technologiquement et les plus sécuritaires possible.
Promouvoir et développer la recherche continuelle de soins de santé professionnels et de qualité.
Encourager fortement la communication entre les services ainsi que la socialisation dans le but d’assurer le respect à tous les niveaux des soins des patients et résidents.

GOALS
The goals of St. Anne Community and Nursing Care Centre are:

2. To care, to the best of our human ability, for the elderly and all entrusted to our care.
3. To administer to our residents at all times with patience, love, dignity and understanding to meet their holistic needs.
4. To operate an outpatient department with a twenty four hour emergency service.
5. To devise, introduce and maintain a high systematic standard of care in the current, ever-changing health care field.
6. To create outreach preventative health care programs for the communities we serve.
7. To create a culture of safety where risks are identified and addressed.
8. To promote a climate of excellence through continuous quality improvement.
It is before God and man that these goals of the Centre are expressed, and with the help of both we will reach optimum results.

Objectifs :
Les objectifs du Centre de soins communautaires et hospitaliers Ste-Anne sont de :
1. Créer et maintenir un second chez-soi à l'intérieur du centre
2. Soigner, au meilleur de notre capacité, les gens du troisième âge et tous ceux confiés à nos soins.
3. Répondre, en tout temps, aux besoins de nos résidents avec patience, amour, dignité et compassion, et ce afin de rencontrer leurs besoins individuels.
4. Assurer le fonctionnement du service des consultations externes avec un service d'urgence jour et nuit.
5. Développer, introduire et maintenir un haut degré de soins dans ce domaine constamment en voie de changement.
6. Créer des programmes d'extension de services dans de domaine de la prévention pour nos communautés.
C'est dans la présence de Dieu et tout humain que les objectifs de notre Centre sont énoncés, et ce n'est qu'avec la collaboration des deux que nous réussirons à atteindre nos buts optimaux.
