Did you know...?

-- Between the years 1713 -1734, sixty-seven acadien families were established in the area of St. Peters and Petit de Grat.

--- In 1774 there were 400 on Isle Madame.

--- 1853 a college was built for studies.

--- 1855 the St. FX College was transferred to Antigonish

--- 1916 The bridges were built to join Isle Madame to the mainland.

--- 1970 The "Arrow" oil tanker ran aground near Arichat harbour.
